Sri Lanka
The tourism industry of Sri Lanka’s tourism is experiencing a real surge in visitors seeking out both luxury and wellness breaks.
More and more luxury resorts are popping up all over the country and are continuing to attract visitors from all over the world.
Wildlife enthusiasts will love paying a visit to Yala National Park, one of the best places to spot Sri Lanka’s elusive leopards; and the art deco-inspired The Charleston, which opens in December in the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort.

It covers over 200 miles worth of inspiring hiking routes that takes you through some of the standout attractions in Sri Lanka including quaint villages, holy shrines, historic tea plantations, colonial estates, and forests brimming with biodiversity.
South Korea

Similarly to many of its Asian counterparts, South Korea has nailed the classic juxtaposition of blending the old and the new.

Another building to keep your eyes out for is the Seoul Robot and Artificial Intelligence Museum which will open towards the end of 2024.
It will showcase science and technology via the medium of interactive exhibits with a strong focus on AI and virtual reality.
Intriguingly, robots helped with the construction of the museum and it has been reported that they will assist in the day-to-day operations, including welcoming guests and leading tours.
Kangaroo Island, Australia

From making friends with the adorable kangaroos to enjoying some of the unique local produce, Kangaroo Island is a must-add to your ever-growing best places list.
One of the best times to visit is in January through to March which is Australia’s summer.
As the third biggest island in Australia, Kangaroo Island is also home to one of the best beaches in Australia – Stokes Beach.
To get there, you have to take a ferry ride across the Backstairs Passage, but the journey is totally worth it.
It is fairly typical to see dolphins bobbing along in the water there, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled!
Adventure lovers will have to try sandboarding or tobogganing in Little Sahara on Kangaroo Island which is a unique sand dune system where you can ride down dunes as high as 70m above sea level which makes for an exhilarating experience!
Normandy, France
The region of Normandy is often synonymous with the D-Day landings, and June 2024 will mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy, France.
To commemorate this historic event, the region of Normandy is planning a series of events which includes drones and a sound and light show.Â
2024 will also see Normandy host the Impressionist Festival which celebrates the 150th anniversary of the first Impressionist exhibition.
Art lovers will adore the different events which showcase the various masterpieces of this artistic movement which includes open-air theatre performances, dance exhibits, workshops and more.
There are also some non-art related events such as forest walks and stargazing to be enjoyed too!
Normandy has a wealth of museums which are certainly with paying a visit such as The Museum of Fine Arts, the D-Day Museum and the Normandy Museum which presents the history and culture of the region through archeological and ethnological collections.
