Sun, sun and more sun in Sharm
Subtropical, dry, and warm year-round, Sharm el-Sheikh is an ideal destination regardless of the time of year. With that said, in the summer the heat is absolutely scorching, meaning the middle of the day is a time to be inside or at least in shade most of the time. However, this also means the Red Sea remains warm year-round, so if you’re keen to splash around or give water sports a try, it’s always a good time. Even night time is balmy here, with evenings regularly staying in the ‘British Summer Time’ range.

High-end beach bars sit alongside tiny cafes where locals sip tea late into the night, and there’s a wonderful blend of local dishes to try alongside international cuisine delivered to the highest standards, thanks to all the world-class chefs who have made their home here. While drinking isn’t always doable in every part of Egypt, you’ll find Sharm el-Sheikh is incredibly relaxed, and almost everywhere will offer an excellent range of wines and beers, and some lip-smacking cocktails.
