Weather in Albufeira
The climate in Albufeira is paradisiacal for most of the year, with hot, bright, dry summers, warm and fresh springs, and Indian summer-like autumn months. Winter sees an increase in rainfall, but it remains relatively mild, meaning if you’re just seeking some warmth it’s still a great destination.
April, May, September, and October are considered the best months to visit thanks to their pleasant temperatures and almost guaranteed sun, but even if you’re not a huge fan of scorching heat the summer is a great time to visit – just make sure to hit the shade!
Discover the Real Albufeira
Albufeira might have a long history as a tourist destination, but that doesn’t mean everything here is worth visiting. If you want to find the best beach bars where locals and revellers mix freely, the most delicious meals for the best prices, and the best places to learn to jet-ski, then read ahead. Orbzii have sent out the scouts so you can discover the real Albufeira.
We’re not saying you should spend most of your time in Albufeira on the beach, but the gorgeous sections of shoreline that surround the tourist town are all beautiful in their own way, and are well worth a visit. Some are soft, golden strips stretching out for miles, others bone-white little coves you have to swim to get to, and some are even uncomfortably rocky, but delivering unimpeachable views. With that said, if you like to be a bit more active on your holidays, both mentally and physically, Albufeira has much to offer. Stunning hikes, day trips to ancient buildings, and even water sports are available to do; all you need to do is decide how to spend your day.
Because it’s long been a centre of tourism the food and drink in Albufeira is second-to-none, with cuisine options from all over the globe available, as well as a taste of Portuguese favourites. We’d heavily recommend the local dishes, especially seafood-based ones, a specialty of the Algarve. Don’t forget to pair your meal with a delicious local wine, either.
Albufeira is already a special place, but when you see it like a local you unlock a whole wealth of new, incredible sights and experiences. Our tips have been gleaned from getting ourselves lost in the lanes of the old town and eating and drinking our way through the area’s best dishes, so you know that you can follow them for the perfect Albufeira experience.

More of China
Catch China’s best ancient architecture while you can. Much of the country’s past has been bulldozed in favour of the gleaming towers the larger cities are known for. Though the sections of Great Wall go some way to linking this forward-facing country to its past. Away from the freeways and high-rise commercialism, expect to see plenty of rice-terraces, but it’s the national parks where the truly wild China lies.
